The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR), currently under construction in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is slated for completion in 2012. With opening planned for 2013, the CMHR is the first national museum to be established in over 40 years and the first national museum to be located outside the National Capital region. The Security Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the galleries, access points, and the exterior of the building by using sophisticated computer intrusion and video systems. Responsibilities include monitoring, assessing, and initiating responses to various alarms on the fire alarm system, the heating ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC), and security alarm monitoring system; overseeing security logistics during special events and monitoring guard activities. Required qualifications include 3 years of experience in a similar role, with 1 to 2 years’ experience working in a Security Supervisory role or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Ability to communicate orally in both official languages is required.
