SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for daily general accounting functions and will assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements. Specific monthly accounting duties will include, working paper preparation, compilation of journal entries relating to specific accounting transactions, and management of the prepaid function. Assistance with the financial reporting process will include the preparation of gross margin and inventory reports that are utilized at the upper management level. The Senior Financial Accountant must promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within both the department and the organization. In addition, the Senior Financial Accountant must have the ability to work independently under minimal supervision within tight deadlines.
Qualifications include enrollment at a mid to advanced level in a recognized accounting program. Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, experience with computerized accounting software and strong skills with Microsoft Excel are requirements of the position.
