Under the direction of the Regional Credit Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient service to rural clients by delivering and administering corporate lending programs and services within the Southwest areas of Manitoba. This includes establishing eligibility to participate in the Corporation’s loan programs in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines. You will be responsible for meeting with applicants to discuss proposals; analyzing and reviewing financial statements and the viability of farm operations; conducting farm visits and valuing land, buildings, livestock, equipment and other personal property for security purposes; investigating credit worthiness; and client account administration including collections.
You must possess a Degree in Agriculture, Commerce, or Business Administration and several years’ related experience with emphasis on agricultural finance and farm business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A thorough knowledge of farm production systems, general agricultural practices and farm business management are required. Demonstrated effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to enable you to deal effectively with agricultural producers and financial institutions, and working in a team environment are essential. Also required are demonstrated analytical, problemsolving, decision-making, negotiating, organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as attention to detail. Proficiency with computers is required. Possession of a valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel is also required. Lending experience and knowledge of farm property valuations is desirable.
