Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be accountable for all aspects of the Canadian commercial financial planning and reporting. Strategically, as a key advisor to the senior management team, you will be adept in the identification of business trends, the identification and utilization of market opportunities, and conducting competitive analyses. As a solid team leader, you will build and sustain relationships on all fronts with key stakeholders, both Canadian and global, by managing and utilizing the resources of your analysis and cross-functional teams. You will also have a proven track record for success in supervising and leading management staff in achieving business targets. Operationally, you will coordinate, consolidate and analyze the Canadian Commercial budget, monthly forecast and cash flow projections, and lead the annual long range planning exercise for Canada. Further, the Strategic Business Analyst role has been identified as the primary position for succession to the Chief Financial Officer.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong leadership and team building strengths, effectively analyzing organizational requirements, identifying skills and motivating your team to successfully complete projects. Having strong accounting, finance and analytical skills, you will be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of individuals inside and outside the organization. Being self-motivated and results oriented, you have a Bachelor's degree and a business-related major, preferably in Finance or Accounting, and a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA). A Masters Degree in Business Administration would be an asset. The incumbent will further have 7+ years of experience, and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Proficient Excel skills are required.
