Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in day to day operations of a Parts Distribution Warehouse.
- Lead and communicate expectations to warehouse staff.
- Train warehouse staff in performing duties safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Ability to react to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Continually seek and suggest ways to improve performance of department.
- Receive parts and arrange warehouse in most efficient method to increase speed of shipping and maximize space.
- Use MacDon ERP (mainframe) system for inventory control.
- Available for emergency after hours service if required & willing to work flexible hours.
- Experience or understanding of measuring key performance indicators in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- An energetic self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Forklift experience and valid license.
- Experience working on ERP (mainframe) and PC computer applications using recent Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of inventory control procedures and ability to count accurately.
- Physically fit and capable of performing all normal warehouse activities.
- Valid Manitoba driver's license.
- Carpentry skills would be an asset.
- Experience with bar-coding, warehouse management systems, etc., would all be an asset.
